Arvaniti, Karagkouni secure yet another national title in Greece

For the fourth time in a row, the final stage of the Panhellenic Beach Volleyball Championships took place in the idyllic and picturesque scenario of Agios Nikolaos, Crete. Played out on the sand of the beautiful Ammos beach situated close to the famous lake of Agios Nikolaos, matches went ahead on a court built especially for the event with all local and national COVID-19 protocols strictly observed.

A 50% capacity crowd, all wearing face masks and with negative COVID-19 tests, watched as three-time Olympian and former European champion Vasiliki Arvaniti claimed her 11th national title alongside long-time partner Panagiota Karagkouni, who secured her fifth Greek crown. In the men's tournament, Angelos Mandilaris captured his second national title as partner Iason Kanellos took his maiden championship title.
