Clubs from 12 countries to contest Beach Volley European Cup Final
News
After completion of a preliminary phase introduced for the very first time and featuring a record-breaking number of clubs and National Federations from across Europe, we now know the eight clubs in each gender vying for continental glory when the CEV Beach Volley European Cup Final takes place in early November in Heraklion, Greece.
In the men’s division, the following clubs have emerged victorious from their respective qualifying groups: C.S.U. Resita (Romania), Montpellier Beach Volley (France), Aloha Beachvolleyball Club (Austria), BC Strahov (Czechia), ZVH Zevenhuizen (Netherlands), and Sunrise Beach Sports Academy (Ukraine). They join the team representing the host country, 4 Sports Club Athens, and Ré Beach Club (France) – i.e. the runners-up from the preliminary phase representing the highest-ranked country.
The clubs that stood out in the women’s competition and finished atop the charts in their respective pools are Beograd Beach Volley (Serbia), KBC Oxyklinika (Lithuania), CV Majadahonda (Spain), Ré Beach Club (France), Edra Tata (Hungary), and Sunrise Beach Sports Academy (Ukraine). The eight-team field for the Final is completed by 4 Sports Club Athens (Greece) and BVC Ludus Ljubljana (Slovenia), the side finishing second in the preliminary phase that carries the flag of the highest-ranked country in the competition across all those sharing second place in their groups.
BVC Ludus are former winners of the competition – as they secured the trophy and gold medals when the CEV Beach Volley European Cup was organised for the very first time in 2023 in Balikesir, Türkiye.
This means that clubs from as many as 12 National Federations will contest the Final in Heraklion. The event will provide an additional opportunity for clubs to promote themselves, test their skills on the international stage as well as show their depth in talent – since the format of the competition rewards the collective effort rather than individual outstanding performances.
Since its inception in 2023, the CEV Beach Volley European Cup continues to grow and to go from strength to strength. Heraklion will provide an idyllic backdrop for the final stage – with players and their coaching staff already working hard to raise to the occasion and celebrate the end of the 2025 Beach Volleyball season in emphatic style!
