The new champions of the CEV Champions League Volley, VakifBank Istanbul won all of the tournaments they took part this season, including the Turkish Sultanlar League.

After finishing the regular season as leaders and advancing to the final round, Italian expert Giovanni Guidetti’s squad faced the CEV Champions League Volley semifinalist Fenerbahce Opet in the finals.

Even though both teams fought very hard to become the national league champion, VakifBank showed a great game from the first point to the last and won their fourth successive domestic league title after a five-game thrilling final series.

Carraro Imoco Conegliano in Italy: They finished the main phase at the top of the standings in the Italian Serie A1 Women, and despite having difficulties sometimes against the CEV Champions League Volley quarterfinalist Vero Volley Monza in the final round, they won the series by 3-1 and defended their title once again by becoming the champions the fourth time in a row.

Another CEV Champions League Volley squad, Bulgaria’s VC Maritza Plovdiv continued to be the best team of the country: Without losing any matches throughout the season, they easily won the title. Thanks to this championship, they maintained their title streak to eight seasons: Plovdiv was the team that finished the season at the top of the podium since the 2014-2015 season in Bulgaria.

The national league season came to an end for the CEV Champions League Volley squads, and they once again proved that they were the best teams of their countries with winning their domestic leagues and defending their titles.
