After chasing a title that had eluded their team for many years, CV Hidramar GRAN CANARIA did eventually secure victory in the Iberdrola Spanish Queen’s Cup following a thrilling final against Avarca de MENORCA. Saray Manzano, captain of the team from the Canary Islands, was rightfully named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Following three intense days of competition, the team coached by Francisco Carballo emerged victorious from one of Spain’s most prestigious domestic tournaments. CV Hidramar GRAN CANARIA, promoted directly to the semi-finals following the current standing of the national league, defeated their first opponent, Tenerife Libby’s LA LAGUNA by 3-1, thus securing their place in the final against the formidable Avarca de MENORCA.
In Dos Hermanas, Seville, an exhilarating final unfolded featuring the two top-ranked women’s teams in Spain, with both sides fiercely fighting for every point until the very end. CV Hidramar GRAN CANARIA proved more efficient in the late stages of each set, securing victory and the coveted title. The Iberdrola Spanish Queen’s Cup was deemed a success in terms of sportsmanship, organisation, and attendance.
