This weekend, volleyball action continues across Europe with intense domestic league matchups. One of the biggest clashes will take place in Türkiye, where two #CLVolleyW squads, Fenerbahce and Eczacibasi, will face off.
Without a doubt, the most anticipated match of the weekend will be held in Türkiye, as powerhouses Fenerbahce Medicana Istanbul and Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul meet in the fifth round of the Turkish Sultanlar League. So far, both teams remain undefeated, occupying two of the top three spots in the standings.
These two teams also met two weeks ago in the national Super Cup final, where Fenerbahce claimed the trophy with a four-set victory. This time, in front of their home crowd, Eczacibasi aims to avenge that loss and take advantage in the standings. Fenerbahce, on the other hand, will look to maintain their mental advantage over their biggest rival. This match promises high-quality volleyball action and is definitely one to follow.
In Italy, the CEV Champions League contenders are expected to have a relatively comfortable weekend. A. Carraro Imoco Volley Conegliano, the only unbeaten team after four games, will host Bergamo in the fifth week of the Italian Serie A1 Women’s League. Savino Del Bene Scandicci, holding a perfect 3-0 record, will aim to keep the momentum against UYBA Busto Arsizio. After suffering their first loss to Novara in a tight 3-2 match last week, Vero Volley Milano will visit Cuneo. All three teams are strong favorites in their respective matches, each aiming to secure a straight-set victory.
Similarly, a relatively easier weekend lies ahead for the Polish #CLVolleyW teams. BKS Bostik ZGO Bielsko-Biala, Developres Rzeszow, and PGE Grot Budowlani Lodz will face weaker opponents in the fifth round of the Polish Tauron Liga. Lodz and Rzeszow remain undefeated and will look to continue their flawless records.
One of the biggest domestic battles will take place in Türkiye between Fenerbahce and Eczacibasi, with one #CLVolleyW squad remaining unbeaten. Meanwhile, top teams in Poland and Italy will face comparatively easier matches, aiming for three-point victories. We will see which elite teams will complete the weekend as they wish for.
