Georgian Snow Volleyball champions crowned in Bakuriani

The ski resort of Bakuriani recently played host to the 2022 edition of the Georgian Snow Volleyball National Championships. Bakuriani has a rich and remarkable Snow Volleyball background as this popular destination for anyone interested in winter / snow sports featured on the CEV European Tour for three years in a row (2018, 2019 and 2020) and hosted an EEVZA zonal event as well.
Teams Tsageri 1 and 2 celebrate their success in the men's competition
Two teams representing Tsageri contested the men’s final, with ‘Tsageri 1’ emerging victorious from the derby with ‘Tsageri 2’. In the bronze medal match, the players of the Georgian Technical University (GTU) defeated Team Gori to complete the podium.
Bakuriani has been a popular Snow Volleyball hotspot for many years already
A few days after completion of the men’s competition, the women took to the court with the University of Georgia eventually claiming the title – with Team Osmo and Batumi settling for second and third place, respectively.

Georgia are the fifth country to deliver a successful Snow Volleyball national championship / national tour event this season – after Hungary, Armenia, Slovakia and Austria all did so earlier this winter.
