Czech Republic keeps up the perfect score in Pool B

On Sunday the national teams of Montenegro and the Czech Republic met in the #EuroVolleyW Qualifiers match in Pool B. In the end, the Czech Republic took an important 1:3 win and is now first in their pool with all four wins so far.
The first set started off as a cat-and-mouse game between teams and it was played point by point. But soon enough Czechs had five points of advantage (11:16) and Montenegro didn’t have new ideas in attack. From 14:18 and only four points behind, they went to 14:25 and 11 points behind which led to the celebration of the Czechs.
In the second set, Montenegro showed all of their colors and they went into this set with a ‘win’ attitude which happened. Although they were a little bit behind the Czechs in the beginning, they soon got back up and equalized the match (17:17). From that point on they were catching each other until the very end but Montenegro was the one who secured the win in this set (26:24).
The winning mentality of Montenegro didn’t transfer to the third set and they were behind the Czechs (3:8) and the advantage only continued to grow (5:12 and then 8:18). They did manage to cut out the difference to seven points (14:21) and then until the set to only three points (22:25). In this set Czechs had three aces.
In the last set, it was visible that the Czechs are grabbing the win. They were always in the lead and didn’t let Montenegro mess with their plan. The advantage of the Czechs only grew until the very end – from 9:12 they went to 10:17 and closed the whole set, and the match, with 14:25.
The best player in the lines of the Czech Republic was the opposite Gabriela Orvošová with 23 winning spikes, two kill blocks and one ace. In total, she had 26 points!
The situation in Pool B is as follows: the Czech Republic is first with 12 points, Finland is second with nine points, Montenegro is third with three points and Iceland is last with zero points.
