The game between undefeated A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano and VB Nantes was the last match in Pool D. The Italian side opened the game very well with Paola Egonu and Robin De Kruijf shining in attack, they led 11-6. However, with great defence and strong attacks from Gicquel and Ndoye, they managed to tie at 15-15. The game was tight, but in the decisive part of the set Imoco closed the set with powerful spike from Egonu. Nantes tried to vanish memories from the first set, starting next part pretty well, as they led 8-5. Then, with Lucille Gicquel on serve, the away team jumped to 10-6.  The home team with support from the fans started to push harder and bridged the gap at 14-14 and since that moment it was Imoco controlling this part. The Italian team were motivated to close this game in three sets, and despite efforts of Nantes, they made it. Paola Egonu scored match-high 22 points and was again named the MVP of the match.
