Despite missing the stakes of qualification to the next round, the fans in Romania did what they have done through the seasons and filled up the arena to support their team, and the energy could be felt on the court as well.

The first set saw both teams looking focused to end their campaigns with a win, however it was Blaj that went ahead, showing more calm at the end of the set.

The second set was dominated by Blaj's Bianka Busa and Sanja Gamma who were dominant in attack and pushed their team to a more comfortable 2-0 lead.

The third and final set was more of the same with Budapest unable to find their way back into the match and finally conceding defeat.

Darko Zakoc, head coach Blaj: "As I said before, unfortunately we lost the qualification in the first match in Nantes and this was a game in which we wanted to win, to finish the Champions League in the best possible way. It was not easy to motivate my team for this match, without any stakes, but we raised our level of play in time. I am glad that we won and made our supporters happy, who have been with us today, as always. All in all, it was good, we finished with our heads up and now we will think about what we have to do in our internal competitions ”
