Graudina and Kravcenoka ready to leave their mark in Moscow
CEV EuroBeachVolley 2019

Luxembourg, July 16, 2019. Latvia’s Tina Graudina and Anastasija Kravcenoka are among the rising stars on the international Beach Volleyball stage. The 2016 U22 European champions have successfully completed their transition to the senior ranks and they recently performed well at the World Championships in Hamburg, where they won their pool before finishing the tournament in ninth place. The next major highlight on their agenda is #EuroBeachVolley coming up in early August in Moscow, Russia.

“The European Championship is the most important tournament for us this summer besides the World Championships,” says Graudina, who lives and studies in California. “Some of our best memories come from underage European Championships and in the senior ones all of the emotions are even stronger,” she continues.

“After claiming fifth place in 2017 when playing at home in Jurmala and the year later not getting out of the group, we are very motivated to remedy ourselves and show our best,” Graudina says about her expectations for #EuroBeachVolley. “So far, we have always liked to play in Moscow whether it was the Vodny stadium or Gorky Park, so we are looking forward to playing at Luzhniki as well.”

Graudina and Kravcenoka are trying to extend Latvia’s success in the competition – Inguna Minusa and Inese Jursone became European champions back in 2009 at the event held in Sochi, Russia. This could be a good omen for Tina and Nastja as well…
