After the "Fair Play. Volleyball Way" campaign that turned into one of the trademarks of CEV and its competitions throughout the past 12 months, CEV Marketing Advisor Zoran Avramovic presented on October 25 to the XXXV CEV General Assembly the innovative "Green Way" campaign which goes along with the introduction of the Mikasa MVA200CEV volleyball that was showcased for the first time on June 27, 2014 at the European Volleyball Gala in Vienna.

The campaign marks the start of a new season, with new challenges and new ideas. Volleyball – a pure, clean game – will send out a message of sustainability and corporate social responsibility: "Let's protect our planet earth!"

Apart from the Mikasa MVA200CEV, the campaign will also be promoted with the green shirts that will be worn by the libero players of all teams participating in the 2015 edition of the CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League.

"We will continue with the extensive promotion of our fair play campaign which marked the past 12 months," CEV President André Meyer says. "However, as we are always searching for innovative actions that help us raise the profile of our sport to the next level, we have decided to add another message that will widen the spectrum of our corporate social responsibility. By the time the climate change is raising concerns almost all over the world, it becomes even more important to promote green, environmental-friendly practices, something that we want to achieve with the Mikasa MVA200CEV volleyball and the green libero shirts."

A "green policy" is being followed every day also at the CEV headquarters in Luxembourg: "In February 2013 we moved to our state-of-the-art premises in Luxembourg City, a green building with a golden LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification that was designed and planned in order to meet the highest energy standards. The real home of our Volleyball family is "green" in its soul and it epitomises our concern for social causes that go well beyond the governance of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball in Europe. We are committed to a long-term development of our sport but, at the same time, we want to deliver a lasting legacy that is beneficial to the whole of our society."
