Hungary host Greece in women’s European League third round
2015 CEV Volleyball European League - Women

Budapest, Hungary, August 13, 2015. Hungary women’s national team will be playing their second home round in the 2015 CEV Volleyball European League this coming Saturday and Sunday when they host Greece. The first match will be played on Saturday at 20:30 with the second one following then at 18:30 on Sunday. Both matches will be taking place at the state-of-the-art Érd Arena sports hall, in the outskirts of the country’s capital Budapest.

Last week Hungary lost both of their away matches with Turkey in straight sets whereas Greece recorded one away win in Poland after losing the first matchup at the tie-break. The Belgian-born mentor of Hungary, Jan De Brandt, hopes that his players will use the home advantage to perform better than they did last week in Ankara and can achieve good results in their games with Greece.

The last time Hungary played Greece dates back to 2013 when these teams crossed their ways in the second qualification round for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Italy 2014. Hungary claimed that game but the hosts do not underestimate their upcoming opponent at all.

Sunday’s match will be streamed live on LAOLA1.tv and broadcast nationwide as well; the organisers have set up a special website for Hungary’s campaign in the European League, www.europeanleaguehungary.com, as well as a Facebook page: www.facebook.com/roplabdaeuropaliga.
