World champions from Italy and Turkey are the organizers of 2011 final four tournaments
2011 CEV Champions League

Luxembourg, January 14, 2010. TRENTINO BetClic and FenerbahceAcibadem ISTANBUL are the clubs that CEV has opted for - after a careful analysis of the applications received – as hosts of the final four tournaments of Europe’s most elitist competition. “Both clubs are the current club world champions” says CEV President André Meyer, “and have very loyal and passionate fans, so they really deserve to stage that real Volleyball festival we are all already very much looking forward to”.
Splendid venues will be playing host to the most skilled and talented Volleyball players in the world as the men’s final will be organized at the “PalaOnda” in Bolzano – a charming town surrounded by breathtaking mountains and snowy peaks – while the majestic “Burhan Felek” Volleyball hall that was recently opened in Istanbul after its construction was completed in a record-breaking time, is set to welcome the pretenders for the crown that was claimed in the past two editions by Italy’s Norda Foppapedretti BERGAMO. With the guys of TRENTINO BetClic vying for their third consecutive trophy – which would be a real premiere in the history of the competition – after back-to-back victories at the FIVB Club World Championships, FenerbahceAcibadem will be definitely aiming to delight the many home fans for what would be the very first Turkish win in the CEV Champions League.
Right after the announcement of the organizers made by CEV President André Meyer, the Drawing of Lots for the Playoffs 12 as well as for the Challenge Round of the 2011 CEV Cup was performed under the supervision of CEV Vice President and ECC President Riet Ooms.
Detailed results of the Drawing of Lots and a comprehensive calendar of the next rounds are included in the attached PDF files.
