Dinamo MOSCOW prepare for much anticipated re-match with TOULOUSE
2015 CEV Volleyball Cup - Men

Moscow, Russia, January 19, 2015. Russia’s Dinamo MOSCOW had to play a nail-biting tie-break last Tuesday before edging past France’s Spacer’s TOULOUSE in the first round of the quarter-finals on schedule for the 2015 CEV Volleyball Cup – Men. The re-match is coming up on Wednesday in Russia’s capital and the eventual winners will make it to the Challenge Round playing there one of the teams ‘coming down’ from the draw of the CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League.

After returning back to Russia, on Sunday Dinamo MOSCOW easily swept aside Kuzbass KEMEROVO by 3:0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-18) in the last round of the Russian Superleague and this way moved up to third place in the current standings, three points behind runners-up Zenit KAZAN. These teams – Dinamo and Zenit – will be playing each other on February 14 but at this stage Dinamo could be very happy with the classy performance they delivered in the match with Kuzbass. Pavel Kruglov scored 13 points and successfully killed 75% of his attacks whilst Denis Biryukov topped the charts in the end with 14. The fans in attendance were also happy with Ivan Zaytsev joining the final stages of the match.

On Wednesday Dinamo will then play Spacer’s TOULOUSE in what is probably the most important match scheduled for this month. “We will prepare for this match the same way as we do for any other,” Denis Biryukov says. “We do not expect to do anything special. Our schedule is very tight as we are having a match almost every three days. On Monday we have a day off and on Tuesday we will resume our training. Our match with Kuzbass went really well and we did everything as per our plan. The atmosphere in the hall was just great as there were a lot of supporters. They helped us a lot and would like to thank them for their support. We expect they will be doing the same also for our home match with TOULOUSE.”
