School pupils enjoy Volleyball festival held at Armavir, Armenia
News from the National Federations

Armavir, Armenia, November 7, 2018. On Tuesday, representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia paid a visit to Armavir and namely to the local school to deliver yet another Volleyball festival. This action represented the next step in the implementation of the CEV School Project across the Caucasus country.

Armavir stood out as one of the most sporting communities during the Soviet era. As the local people are committed to continuing that tradition, the school pupils of Armavir – some 100 children – took part in the Volleyball festival with great enthusiasm and did their best to master the technical skills of the game.

In his speech, the Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia, Mr Karen Asmaryan, stressed the importance of adding Volleyball to the school programme and thanked the school authorities and physical education teachers for making sure that such a large number of children would attend the festival. At the end of this action, the school received sports equipment provided by the CEV to be able to continue with their Volleyball activities in future as well.
