CEV Vice President pays historic visit to Kosovo
News from the CEV

Pristina, Kosovo, February 15, 2019. CEV Vice President and Treasurer Özkan Mutlugil is currently paying a historic visit to Kosovo, the ‘youngest’ of all National Federations since it joined the CEV back in 2016. The President of the Kosovo Volleyball Federation (KVF), Mr Abedin Ibrahimi, their Vice President, Mr Visar Alimehaj, and Secretary General, Mr Valon Nikqi, have deserved a warm welcome to the CEV Vice President.

Mr Mutlugil addressed a few words to the Kosovar Volleyball family in an interview to national broadcaster RTK: “The Kosovo Volleyball Federation is working extremely hard and I have come here to discuss future activities and how we can best cooperate. As you know, it is the wish of the CEV to support all National Federations and this visit is testament to it,” he said. It is the first such high-profile visit of a CEV high-ranking representative to Kosovo, even though the two organisations – CEV and KVF – have been working closely together for the last couple of years already.

After his arrival on Thursday, Mr Mutlugil had on Friday a meeting at the Ministry of Sports, where the Deputy Minister of Sports, Mrs Leonora Morina-Bunjaku and the Sports Advisor of Minister Gashi, Daut Thaqi, deserved a warm welcome to the CEV Vice President.
