Tickets sold out for Champions League Super Finals
CEV Champions League Volley 2019 Super Finals

Luxembourg, April 29, 2019. Tickets for the history-making CEV Champions League Volley 2019 Super Finals coming up on May 18 at Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin are sold-out! The interest in the Volleyball party of the year has been huge since the very beginning, ever since tickets went on sale in late February. Volleyball fans can look forward to a full house when the top four teams in Europe take to the court of Germany’s Volleyball temple, vying for the most coveted crown in European Volleyball and a share of a record-breaking 1.2 million € prize money.

There will be 9,046 fans witnessing the historic Super Finals in Berlin, the first time the top men’s and women’s teams play for gold on the same day and at the same venue.

After an opening ceremony and exciting show due to begin at 15:30, the event will continue with the women’s finale starting at 16:00 CET between Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO and Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA. These two teams will extend to the continental stage a domestic rivalry that has been lasting for a few years already – and that is due to continue even before the #SuperFinalsBerlin in the championship series of the Italian national league. If Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO are hoping to complete their collection of CL medals with gold to go with silver and bronze from the 2017 and 2018 editions, NOVARA are contesting the first such final for the first time in their history. Their team captain Francesca Piccinini will be chasing a sixth #CLVolleyW crown – to go with one title from the defunct Champions Cup and the never-ending list of accolades on her resume.

The Volleyball party of the year will continue at 19:00 CET with the exciting men’s finale featuring titleholders Zenit KAZAN of Russia and Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA of Italy. It is a repeat of last year’s dramatic gold medal match, which Zenit won at the tiebreak to seal their fourth straight #CLVolleyM crown and sixth overall – an all-time record. Cucine Lube, on the other hand, are yet to lose a match in this year’s competition and they will be hoping to claim a title that has eluded them since the 2002 edition.
