Kids enjoy their first Volleyball steps in Veles
News from the National Federations

Skopje, Former Y.R. of Macedonia, May 13, 2019. The latest positive vibrations in Macedonian Volleyball have had an impact not only among those professionally involved in the sport, but also in the everyday life of more ordinary sports lovers. After the men’s national team qualified for CEV EuroVolley 2019 earlier this year, Volleyball has not only become a topic that is talked about more often, it has also entered the focus of young people who are more interested in getting to know the secrets and beauty of this game.

To this extent, the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball, grow with it’ recently gathered more than 50 schoolchildren in the city of Veles. The mass participation training lasted more than four hours and the kids enjoyed their first steps in Volleyball, getting to know the basic elements of the game with the help of former Volleyball players and now coaches Emilia Terzievska and Emilija Janicic.

The first action run in conjunction with the CEV School Project in Skopje as well as the second one in Veles have showed that Volleyball is growing and that it is not only a tradition, but it can also be a part of their future for many youngsters from the Balkan country.
