CEV says NO to racism
News from the CEV

Luxembourg, October 2, 2019. Further to an incident during a CEV Challenge Cup match back in December 2017 between Olympiacos PIRAEUS and TOURS VB, the CEV has been constantly working on the review of its regulations and can confirm that a new series of measures has been taken to fight any potential inappropriate conducts in CEV competitions.

The experience gained from the organisation of its Volleyball competitions as well as the remarks and comments received from the various stakeholders allow the CEV to identify the processes that need to be improved and intervened for the purposes of making the European Volleyball competitions better and consequently improve the image of the sport.

A new protocol will be introduced to prevent any kind of potential critical impact on our sport, but which also allows, in case of violent incidents during a CEV match, the CEV officials to take action to avoid further issues.

The CEV condemns any form of violence and it is fully convinced that a close cooperation with its members and stakeholders will act for the benefit of Volleyball.
