After completion of another three qualifying events contested this past weekend in Budapest, Chania, and Göteborg, the eight clubs in each gender due to compete at the CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2026 Final are now known. The event scheduled for November 5-8 in Alanya will gather clubs from across Europe as the competition introduced in 2023 continues to go from strength to strength – thereby emphasising the pivotal role that Beach Volleyball clubs can play towards the overall growth of the sport across the continent.

Sunrise Beach Sports Academy of Ukraine will defend their 2025 title come early November

The 2026 Final will feature the two winners of the 2025 edition contested in Heraklion, Greece, where France’s Ré Beach Club and Ukraine’s Sunrise Beach Sports Academy emerged victorious from the men’s and women’s competition, respectively. The Ukrainian club secured the right to defend their title at the qualifier held this past weekend in Chania – on the very same island, Crete, where they had triumphed in the final stage of the 2025 competition last November. This time, the club featuring a large share of Ukraine’s top Beach Volleyball players looked dominant with both their men’s and women’s teams.

A qualifying event was held this past weekend at the iconic Beach Volleyball Centre in Göteborg

As for the other qualifiers played in Budapest and Göteborg, Yellow Fresh Fruits – SRSE Budapest and ÉDRA Tata made the home-court advantage count as they topped the men’s and women’s final standings in the Hungarian capital city. This is a remarkable achievement for Hungary’s Beach Volleyball community, which continues to develop at a fast pace, an evolution certainly further inspired and driven by the highly successful Nations Cup Final held this past July in Budapest downtown. Moving north to Göteborg, Scherp in Packaging ZVH of the Netherlands and France’s Montpellier Beach Volley were the sides coming out on top at an event held at the world’s largest Beach Volleyball indoor facility.

Clubs from across Europe have enjoyed the opportunity to compete on the international stage for a fourth year since the competition was introduced in 2023

Apart from the winners of the six qualifying events and the clubs due to represent the host country of the Final, Türkiye, the final spots in each gender were eventually assigned to the runners-up from the Preliminary Phase representing the highest-ranked National Federation in the respective European ranking – namely Beachclub Strahov (CZE) and CV Majadahonda (ESP) for men and women.

Therefore, the starting field for the Beach Volley European Cup Final – which will follow the exciting format that acknowledges and rewards primarily the depth in quality across each club’s roster – will involve the following clubs:

Men: TVF Spor Lisesi (TUR), ASD Beach Volley Training (ITA), BVŠP - Beachvolejbalová škola Praha (CZE), Ré Beach Club (FRA), Scherp in Packaging ZVH (NED), Sunrise Beach Sports Academy (UKR), Yellow Fruits - SRSE Budapest (HUN), and Beachclub Strahov (CZE)

Women: Alanya Belediye Spor (TUR), ASD Beach Volley Training (ITA), CDV Braveheart Gran Canaria (ESP), ÉDRA Tata (HUN), Montpellier Beach Volley (FRA), Sunrise Beach Sports Academy (UKR), Unique Wilczyce (POL), and CV Majadahonda (ESP).
