The Preliminary Phase of the CEV Beach Volley Nations Cup Men 2026 gets underway at the stunning Fig Tree Bay beach in Protaras, Cyprus, where Pool B matches will take place this weekend featuring the national teams of Poland, Israel, Bulgaria, and host nation Cyprus, which will have the honour of hosting a stage of the competition for the very first time.

The Cyprus organisers are proud to host an event of this calibre in Protaras

The four teams will compete for top place in the pool and qualification to the CEV Beach Volley Nations Cup Final 2026, which will be held in Budapest from July 16-19.

This will be the biggest international Beach Volleyball event ever hosted in Cyprus, bringing together emerging athletes and promising two days of intense competition on the sand through a tournament that continues to grow in prestige and popularity.

The countdown reached its peak on Friday evening, May 8, with the Opening Ceremony, during which the prestigious trophy of the competition was also unveiled.

The hosts highlighted the special significance of the event coinciding with Europe Day on May 9, a symbolic occasion that reflects the values of cooperation, mutual respect, and unity shared among the peoples of Europe through sport – a message more relevant today than ever before. At the same time, they expressed their gratitude to the CEV for its trust and support.

For Protaras, the event marks another important step in establishing itself as a sports tourism destination, while also confirming the CEV’s confidence in the Cyprus Volleyball Federation after the successful hosting of past U20 and U18 European Championships.

All matches will be broadcast on the Cypriot Hellas Sat network, while free live streaming will also be available through the official YouTube channels of the CEV and the Cyprus Volleyball Federation: Cyprus Volleyball Federation YouTube Channel

The first two match sessions will take place on Saturday morning and evening (10:00-14:00 and 17:00-21:00 EEST), while the final session will be held on Sunday evening (17:00-21:00 EEST).
