Klinger/Klinger and Hammarberg/Berger crowned champions in Schladming

The champions of the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships Schladming 2026 have been crowned. Dorina and Ronja Klinger claimed the women’s title with a straight-set victory over Magdalena Rabitsch/Oleksandra Shkarupa, while Timo Hammarberg and Tim Berger came from behind to defeat Philipp Waller/Moritz Pristauz in a thrilling three-set men’s final. The MASTERS event, held as part of the win2day Beach Volleyball Tour PRO, concluded on Sunday after three days of competition in Schladming.

Three days of international Beach Volleyball came to an end on Sunday as the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships Schladming 2026, held as part of the win2day Beach Volleyball Tour PRO, reached their final medal decisions. Siblings Dorina and Ronja Klinger were crowned women’s champions, while Timo Hammarberg and Tim Berger secured the men’s title in an Austrian clean sweep of the medals.

Klinger/Klinger claim women’s title

The women’s final saw Rabitsch/Shkarupa (AUT) take on top seeds Klinger/Klinger (AUT). Dorina and Ronja Klinger delivered a dominant performance, winning the championship match in straight sets 2-0 (21-11, 21-11). Rabitsch/Shkarupa therefore finished the tournament with silver. The bronze medal went to Slovenia’s Kotnik/Lovsin, who defeated Slovakia’s Terenova/Reginova in straight sets 2-0 (21-11, 21-13).

Hammarberg/Berger fight back to win men’s final

The men’s championship match featured Hammarberg/Berger (AUT) against Waller/Pristauz (AUT). Waller/Pristauz took the opening set 21-17, but Hammarberg/Berger responded by winning the second set by the same score to force a deciding tie-break. In the third set, Timo Hammarberg and Tim Berger completed the comeback with a 15-11 victory, thus securing the championship with a final score of 2-1 (17-21, 21-17, 15-11). In the bronze medal match, Seiser/Dressler (AUT) faced Trummer/Petutschnig (AUT), who had produced an impressive run from qualification all the way to the final four. Seiser/Dressler won a closely contested match in straight sets 2-0 (21-19, 22-20) to secure third place.

Three days of Beach Volleyball conclude in Schladming

Sunday’s medal matches brought the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships Schladming 2026 to a close after three days of competition. Held as a MASTERS event of the win2day Beach Volleyball Tour PRO, the tournament brought together teams from across Central Europe in the idyllic alpine setting of Schladming. The final day featured all medal decisions on centre court.  Three days of Beach. Beats. Berge. therefore concluded with two new champions crowned in Schladming.
