Isabelle Haak, the unstoppable Swedish opposite hitter, will remain the cornerstone of Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano’s offense for the 2025/26 season. Young rising star, Merit Adigwe will continue to provide support for Haak after an exceptional debut season with the senior team.

After joining the club in 2022, Haak has already become the all-time top scorer in Imoco history, with 2,761 points over 145 matches. Her impact has been nothing short of historic—13 titles in three seasons, including three Scudetti, two Champions League crowns, and two Club World Championships, earning seven MVP awards along the way. Known as “Bella,” she continues to dominate both domestically and internationally, delivering nearly 600 points in Italian competitions and over 200 in Europe last season alone.

Haak, who describes Conegliano as her "home," praised the club’s balance between elite competition and quality of life. She credits the team environment, coaching staff, and fans for her continued success and motivation. Looking ahead, she remains committed to winning more titles with Imoco while also preparing for a historic moment with the Swedish national team — the country’s first-ever appearance at a Volleyball World Championship.

At just 18 years old, Merit Adigwe is proving she’s much more than a rising star—she’s already a key part of Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano’s present and future. After a breakout debut season with Italy’s reigning volleyball powerhouse, Adigwe has been confirmed as Isabelle Haak’s backup for the 2025/26 campaign. Her journey has been remarkable: from scoring her first match-point in the Regular Season opener to shining in the CEV Champions League with a 25-point MVP performance against Mladost Zagreb, and even making waves at the Club World Championship. Off the court, she’s preparing for her high school final exams—a reminder that this is just the beginning for the young talent balancing elite volleyball and education.

Adigwe’s stats speak volumes: 183 points in 32 appearances, with a 48% attack efficiency, 11 blocks, and 23 aces—a performance profile that reflects both power and promise. A product of Imoco’s youth pipeline, she’s also a fixture on Italy’s national team radar, a key player for the upcoming U21 World Championship this summer and eyeing a spot in Julio Velasco’s squad for the 2025 Volleyball Nations League, having being selected for the list of 30 pre tournament. But beyond the numbers, what stands out is Adigwe’s maturity and gratitude, crediting her growth to the guidance of her teammates and coach Daniele Santarelli. With another summer of national duty ahead and her second pro season in sight, the “azzurrina” is ready to keep making noise—on both sides of the net.
