Chiaka Ogbogu has returned to VakıfBankm the club where the American middle blocker had won seven championships in her first stint.
VakıfBank has re-signed its former player, Chiaka Ogbogu, winner of 1 FIVB Club World Championship, 2 CEV Champions League titles, 1 Turkish Champions Cup, 1 Sultanlar Ligi title, and 2 Turkish Cups with VakıfBank IStanbul. After spending the 2021–2022 season in Istanbul, she now returns to the club for new challenges and renewed determination to win even more.
The American middle blocker, born on April 15, 1995, was named “Middle Blocker of the Year” in the 2025 LOVB season with Austin. Following her time in Austin, Ogbogu signed a short-term contract with Puerto Rico’s Mets de Guaynabo.
