    Men’s MEVZA League – Mladost ZAGREB and Zadruga AICH/DOB secure three points

    HAOK Mladost ZAGREB emerged victorious from their MEVZA League clash with Union Raiffeisen WALDVIERTEL contested on Thursday evening, celebrating a 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 29-27) home win. Therefore, Croatia’s reigning national champions significantly improved their chances to secure a Final Four spot.

    They are now sitting in fifth place - just three points behind third-placed OK Calcit KAMNIK. HAOK Mladost ZAGREB have contested three games less than the Slovenian side. Already on Friday, the team from head coach Radovan Gačič and URW will be locking horns in Zagreb again.

    In the second MEVZA League match played on Thursday, Austria’s SK Zadruga AICH/DOB secured three points against bottom-of-the-table VKP BRATISLAVA, winning 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-23) at the JUFA-Arena Bleiburg. As a result, the Final Four hosts moved up to fourth place in the current standing now on 18 points from a 6-5 win-loss record.
