After the completion of the third matches in the #CLVolleyW Fourth round, now the most elite squads of the continent turn their eyes to their next domestic battles. While a relatively comfortable weekend is on the way for Turkish ones, Conegliano and Bielsko-Biala will hold important challenges.
All three CEV Champions League Volley contenders from Türkiye, Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul, VakifBank Istanbul, and Fenerbahce Medicana Istanbul won their third games without any difficulties, and they are currently at the top of the charts in the most prestigious tournament in Europe. This weekend, they will take the court for the 11th week of the Turkish Sultanlar League, and each will face weaker opponents. The top three places are also filled by these powerhouses, with a clear leadership status from the Eczacibasi side. Therefore, they should still be careful, since any unexpected loss will mean more.
The undefeated leader of #CLVolleyW Group A, A. Carraro Imoco Volley Conegliano will host Novara in the 10th round of the Italian Serie A1. Imoco is currently at the top of the charts with a perfect record, having won all their previous challenges and losing only two sets in total. The result of the game will not change their rank in the national league, but still, the goal will be to maintain a high level of volleyball.
The excitement in Poland will continue with the 10th round of the Polish Tauron Liga, and all teams in the first four places, including three #CLVolleyW teams, have only one defeat so far. While the task will be comparably easier for PGE Grot Budowlani Lodz and Developres Rzeszow, BKS Bostik ZGO Bielsko-Biala has a harder goal to achieve, since they will face LKS Lodz, the current leaders. Therefore, the Bielsko-Biala side definitely want to complete the weekend with victory, and the remaining ones will seek to take advantage of this game, to take first place in the standings.
The first half of the group stage in the #CLVolleyW has been completed, and now the top teams of Europe once again begin to focus on their national games. While the Turkish squads seek comfortable victories, Imoco definitely want to preserve their unbeaten status, while a huge clash in Poland might have a significant effect on the top places in the charts. We will see how teams will react to their new challenges.
