After a convincing win on home court just a week ago, Poland’s Projekt Warszawa travelled to Italy and managed to get another win and with it, the CEV Challenge Cup Men’s 2024 title.

Mint Vero Volley Monza was hopeful, after a good European run that saw them reach the Final and good domestic form, that the team has what it takes to get back into contention for the title and they seemed to be in it for most of the first set leading with as many as four points in the latter stages of the set . It wasn’t enough however, and Projekt Warszawa got back in it and clinched the opener, a much deserved boost to their title hopes.

The second set saw Monza’s superstar, Ran Takahashi with more time on the court but it was still all about the Polish side, despite a lovely atmosphere in the venue, dominating from beginning to end. Winning the second was all that was needed for Warszawa to become champion.

A refresh of the lineups for the third set saw the Italians in a better position, winning the third set but the fourth set brought another swing of the pendulum in favour of the Polish, whose organization and determination closed matters in just four sets.

The Finals MVP was Yurii Semeniuk, a much deserved recognition of his contribution to Projekt Warszawa’s success this season.

Let the celebrations begin!
