Roma Volley lift the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup 2025 - Women trophy

In an all-Italian final, Roma Volley wrote a brand-new page in their history, winning the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup 2025 - Women trophy. The team of the Eternal City disappointed in the second final their compatriots of Reale Mutua Fenera CHIERI'76 after outclassing them at 3-1.

The Roma Volley side survived a tough tiebreaker last week, only to come even stronger on Tuesday, claiming the trophy in front of more than 3500 fans in their home at Palazzetto dello Sport Small.

Inspired by their good performance in the first final, Roma Volley entered the title deciding match highly motivated. They took an early lead 8-6 in the first set, and kept building a comfortable point difference, eventually emerging victorious at 25-19.
The answer of the 22/23 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup Women Winners - Reale Mutua Fenera CHIERI'76, didn’t get delayed. The team of Chieri’76 came back stronger in the second set, that lasted 31 minutes, winning it at 25-22.
The game of nerves continued in the third set - Roma were trying to get away (13-10), but Chieri were breathing down their necks all the time (15-15). However, the hosts of the Eternal City showed a greater lever of determination and made an important step towards the victory after 25-19 in their favour.
The Volleyball thriller unfolded in the last set as well - when neither Roma Volley nor Chieri were giving up until the very last moment. The home heroines, however, showed nerves of steel and even after letting their opponents push them to the wall, found the right Volleyball answers for 27-25.
The team of Giuseppe Cuccarini prevailed in attack (65 to 57 winning spikes), and scored more aces (six to three). However, Chieri’76 were better on blocking (six to four), but let more own errors affect the score (22 to 20).
Anna Enioola Adelusi was above all, finishing with 26 points to her name, becoming top scorer of the game.
