The Turkish city of Kahranmanmaras will be playing host to the season opener on February 18-20, with the European Tour returning to Turkey after Kayseri-Erciyes and Mt. Uludag previously delivered highly successful Snow Volleyball events. Turkey has developed a very strong Snow Volleyball background, not only as organisers, but even from a competitive standpoint as well – especially through the success achieved by Aleyna Vence and Bugra Eryildiz, who back in 2018 were the recipients of the ‘Queens of the Snow’ title and silver medal winners at the inaugural European Championship in Wagrain-Kleinarl.
On March 4-6, Tarvisio (Italy) will welcome a European Tour event for the very first time after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the tournament due to take place at the very same venue in 2020. Tarvisio is a popular ski resort, nestled in an area close to the Italian borders with Austria and Slovenia – and elite sporting events held there include stops of the Alpine Skiing World Cup as well as the 2003 Winter Universiade.
The registration for these two events is now open through the VIS system.
Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to work hard to provide teams and fans with an action-packed winter season that will help us re-ignite the fire and inspire more and more people to play the game up in the mountains, with the surplus of some truly iconic and breath-taking backdrops!
