Luxembourg, July 9, 2019. The Czech Volleyball Federation will be playing host to the 2022 edition of #EuroVolleyU17W, thus continuing their lasting success story in delivering successful age-group competitions. The announcement follows a series of high-profile meetings involving the CEV leadership and Czech national authorities, who have shown their full support to the efforts made by the Czech Federation to grow the game.

After the ‘restructuring’ of the age limits for European competitions, 2022 will be the third edition of #EuroVolleyU17W, to follow the event held in 2018 in Bulgaria and the championship that Montenegro will be hosting next year.

Mr Marek Pakosta, President of the Czech Volleyball Federation, was obviously happy with the news: “We are very pleased that the CEV Board of Administration has chosen the Czech Volleyball Federation as the organiser for such a great event as the 2022 edition of #EuroVolleyU17W. We appreciate the trust shown by the CEV leadership and we understand it as a recognition of our long-term good work in organising high-level international Volleyball events, which are in line with our vision to promote and develop our stunning sport across the Czech Republic and Europe as well.”

“We wish to commend the Czech Volleyball Federation for the efforts and work they have done to obtain the support of their national authorities needed for the organisation of such an event,” commented CEV President Aleksandar Boričić. “We look forward to an exciting tournament where the rising stars of our sport will shine brightly.”
