The CEV Volleyball European Golden League 2025 Men returns for its second week of competition to four venues throughout Europe, with four teams boasting perfect records after the first week.

All those four sides – Finland, Romania, Israel and Greece – can extend their winning streak this week, as they will not face off in mutual meetings, while the hosts of the Final Four – Czechia – which are already qualified, aim to improve their 1-1 record this week.

Finland and Romania are the only teams to secure wins in straight sets so far in the CEV Volleyball European Golden League 2025 Men and they will be looking to improve those records, while facing tougher opponents.

Czechia, a perennial contender in the CEV Volleyball European Golden League Men, which are already ensured a spot in the Final Four, will be Finland’s next opponents, when the two sides face off this weekend in the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica. Hosts Montenegro, which lost their first two matches, will be looking for their maiden win in this edition of the competition.

On the other hand, Romania are due to face Spain and Croatia in Zadar, Croatia, as the hosts have conceded two losses in their first two matches, and will be looking to bounce back, having finished on the podium in each of the last three editions of the CEV Volleyball European Golden League Men.

Greece, which won their first two matches against Spain and Portugal by the same scoreline, 3:1, will aim to extend their winning streak to four matches, when they take on Latvia and North Macedonia in Daugavpils, Latvia. While Latvia have won a match so far, North Macedonia are the only side to have not win at least one set in the first two matches.

Israel will take on Slovakia (1-1) and Portugal (0-2) in Loulé, Portugal, as the winners of the Silver League in the previous season can stake a bigger claim for a Final Four berth, after taking wins against Croatia and Czechia by the same scoreline, 3-1, in the first week of the competition.

Two Greek players – Dimitrios Mouchlias (36 points) and Athanasios Protopsaltis (34 points) are between the top three scorers in the competition, with Spain’s Jordi Ramon Ferragut being the second-best scorer, with 35 points after the first week of the competition.

The CEV Volleyball European Silver League 2025 Men will see two tournaments played this weekend, one in Kopavogur, Iceland and the other one in Baku, Azerbaijan. Sweden and Luxembourg will be aiming to extend their winning streaks, as they are the only two sides with a 100% winning record so far.
