Switzerland claim first spot in Silver #EuroLeagueW finals

The League Round concludes on Sunday with the matchup between Austria and Switzerland. The Austrian team needs at least one point to overtake Latvia for second place and qualify for the final. If successful, the first leg of the final will take place on June 26 in Amstetten, followed by the return match in Switzerland three days later. The winner of the Silver League will be promoted to the Golden League. ORF ON will broadcast live from 5:30 p.m., and ORF SPORT + will join the coverage at 6:20 p.m.

Switzerland head coach Lauren Bertolacci: “We didn’t play our best Volleyball today - we can definitely improve. But we made it to the final, and that’s the most important thing.”

Latvia head coach Daniele Capriotti: “We are a young team and in the process of developing. Switzerland is already a step ahead - that’s the difference. But I am satisfied with the third set; we were much closer to them.”
