Turkish Star Adis Lagumdzija is the Top Performer of the Final Four

Turkey’s men national team has managed to retain their CEV Volleyball European Golden League title won at the 2019 edition after yet another convincing and dominating performance, this time against Ukraine (3-1) in the Final that took place in Kortrijk , Belgium.

Last night’s win meant that the team of head coach Nedim Özbey managed to win the title and maintain a perfect win record along the way (8 wins – 0 losses), a performance that will definitely boost their confidence going into this year’s CEV EuroVolley Men, scheduled to take place in September.

Within an impressive campaign where the team effort was the deciding factor in the success achieved, Turkey’s star player Adis Lagumdzija still managed to shine brighter than anyone else in the competition.

Following the League Round where he lead the scoring charts with a total of 116 pts and a set average of 5.8, Adis went into the Final Four of the competition and performed even better, proving to be the reliable focal point in his team’s attack that they were all expecting him to be.

His performance earned him the MVP award.

An astonishing total of 175 points for the duration of the competition (8 matches) with a set average of 6.03 pts and Adis finished 55 pts ahead of the next best scorer, Oliver Venno (Estonia) – 120 pts, and 68 pts ahead of 3rd best scorer Jolan Cox (Belgium) on 107 pts.
