- Guaguas setter Miguel Ángel de Amo returns to a familiar city. He was a star player of České Budějovice between years 2018 and 2022. He was a fan favorite and probably the most popular foreigner to ever play at the club. All the fans are looking forward to it.
- Due to Miguel de Amo return, a record attendance for this season is expected in České Budějovice. It looks like the visit will attract 2000 spectators.
- Miguel de Amo (setter of Guaguas): "I have a lot of friends in České Budějovice who will come to see the game. The club has become close to my heart, I am excited to return to a familiar place. There will definitely be a great atmosphere that Jihostroj fans can create. Even though we have already secured promotion, we are definitely coming with the clear goal of winning."

Jihostroj ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE - Guaguas LAS PALMAS
- České Budějovice set a record of attendance in this season – 1630 spectators.
- Jihostroj finishes at last place in the group and their participation in European cups is done. Guaguas advance to the next round of the Champions League from second place in the group.
- Jihostroj wins at home for the 10th time in 11 matches. Even victory was not enough for the further promotion. Jihostroj needed to lose one set less – that would have been enough to advance.
- Guaguas setter Miguel de Amo was warmly welcomed by all the fans and the club. During the second break, fans watched a video on the LED screen summarizing his successful years in Jihostroj (2018-2022).

- Andrzej Kowal (Head Coach of Jihostroj): "Of course we are happy because of our victory, but we are not happy because European Cups are done for us. Our shape today was like a wave – up down up down. The most important is that we were able to get into back the match. It was not easy because we were losing 1-2 and we lost hope of further promotion. This is an important thing for the next part of the season."
- Michael Kovařík (Libero of Jihostroj): "Unfortunately we only have two points, we needed three. It's a shame, we should have lost one set less and could have been promoted to the CEV Cup. Guaguas has excellent quality on both, serve and spike. They showed that they are a strong team. We are sorry for the elimination from the European Cups, but now we have to look ahead and concentrate on the Czech Extraliga and the Czech Cup."
Guaguas LAS PALMAS
- Miguel Ángel de Amo (setter of Guaguas): "For me it was difficult to focus from the beginning, because the atmosphere was amazing. The people welcomed me very nicely. We know our task here was to win one set. After winning one set we were heads up that we advanced to the next round of the Champions League. I definitely came to win, even though Jihostroj is my former club. It was a special motivation for me to present myself in the best light in České Budějovice."
