SC POTSDAM - Calcit KAMNIK
- The first match between both clubs turned into a real thriller.
- In the initial encounter at Tivoli, Potsdam clinched a 3-2 victory (18:25, 25:23, 25:18, 23:25, 16:14), with Maša Pucelj spearheading Calcit Volley's effort with 27 points, while Danielle Harabin led Potsdam with 21 points.
SC POTSDAM
- The next home game for SC Potsdam is on Tuesday from 7 p.m. In the CEV Champions League Volley, head coach Riccardo Boieri's team welcomes Calcit Kamnik.
- SC Potsdam is currently in second place in Pool C.
- They definitely want to maintain this position at the end of the group phase and not let the Grot Budowlani Lódz team (the Poles play at Fenerbahçe Opet Istanbul on Tuesday) pass them by again.
- If the Potsdam women actually reach the playoff round, they would have survived the group phase of the Champions League for the first time in the club's history.
- Antonia Stautz (outside hitter): "Calcit Kamnik is a quite young team. They are very good in the attack, as they showed in the first match against us. For example, we have to serve better than in the first game and make better use of our chances in attack. Of course, we definitely want to win the game in front of our home crowd. We played in the Volleyball Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon. Therefore the recovery time before this game is short. But this is nothing new for us, we are already used to it. So that shouldn't be a barrier on Tuesday. The game is very important for us because we can finally book our ticket to the playoff round. Calcit Kamnik, on the other hand, can no longer move forward. This can be an advantage for them because they have no pressure. So we should be careful against them."

- Stautz: "Calcit Kamnik can no longer progress in the CEV Champions League Volley as fourth place. That can be an advantage for them because they don’t have any pressure."
- The hosts' motivation is likely to be huge after the Bundesliga away win in Wiesbaden.
- Although the recovery time was short, they definitely want to win in front of their home crowd.
- Maybe one thing that Potsdam had planned for the first game in Slovenia will help - to take control from the beginning.
Calcit KAMNIK
- The team – in which Sara Hutinski and Andjelka Radiskovic are still the most experienced – is undefeated in the current season in the Slovenian championship after four titles in a row.
- Coach Bruno Najdič's team has one thing in particular that stands out. They play with a lot of young talents from their own country. Only one player in the team, Andjelka Radiskovic (Bosnia), is not from Slovenia. The philosophy is to try it with own young players. Only three players are older than 21 years. The success is certainly impressive. Calcit Kamnik is still unbeaten in the Slovenian league this year.
- Najdič acknowledges that the team is still striving to reach their peak after a necessary break, expressing optimism that the Potsdam encounter will showcase an improved display compared to recent matches.
- Bruno Najdič (Coach): "Our desire is to bid farewell to the Champions League with a win. However, we must recognize the reality that Potsdam is a superior team with depth. Even if their coach rotates a few players, they
remain formidable. We witnessed this in Tivoli when their strategic rotations secured them the victory. We cannot assume that, having secured a spot in the knockout stage, they won't approach our match with the same determination. Our focus is on our game, aiming to display the form that defined us at the end of last year." - The team's dynamism receives a notable boost from Lucille Charuk, whose impressive performance in the recent match against Ankaran showcased her contribution to the team's defensive strength.
- Najdič hopes that the Potsdam clash will witness an even more commendable team effort.
- Reflecting on the challenges, Najdič stresses the significance of potent serves and disrupting opponents' positioning at the net in the intense atmosphere of the Champions League, where every team is a formidable opponent.

- Riccardo Boieri (Chef Coach, SC Potsdam): "I'm very happy for the team. They deserve the victory. They have been very focused in the last few weeks, so we had a good rhythm in block, defense and attack. Tara Taubner is okay again, so I expect, that we won´t have any serious injuries."
Calcit KAMNIK
- Simon Krakar (Assistent Coach Calcit Kamnik): "From the start on, we were quite good. We pressed with our service. Then Potsdam came back. And in the end of the first set we had our chances. But we didn´t use it. In the second set we lost our concentration. So we lost it. In the third we started well again, like in the first one. But in the end Potsdam had more quality and won the game."
