Elsa Baquerizo received this Thursday the tribute of the Volleyball Federation of Madrid and the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation. The player, two time Olympian and three time EuroBeachVolley medalist, gives her name to the central court of the impressive Puerta de Hierro Sports Park in Madrid, that host this weekend the second round of CEV Continental Cup.

Elsa Baquerizo has played two Olympic Games (London 2012 and Rio 2016) and already claimed the ticket for Tokyo with Liliana Fernández Steiner late 2019 in a great qualification tournament.

"I did not expect it. It is very exciting and has made me very happy. It is a great honor for me". "I hope to play as soon as possible on this court, it will be a very exciting time".

Elsa Baquerizo has not been able to debut in competition the track that bears her name, as she won the Olympic passport in 2019 in China.

"A fantastic facility for our sport could not have a better name than Elsa Baquerizo, a referent of national beach volleyball".
