One of the brightest stars in world Volleyball, Ekaterina Antropova, will wear the Eczacibasi Dynavit jersey in the upcoming season. The Italian national team opposite hitter joins the orange and white side as one of Europe’s most prolific scorers and one of the most dominant players in the international game.

Commenting on the transfer, Eczacibasi Sports Club General Manager Bilun Yilmaz said: “Antropova is a truly special player who embodies the demands of modern Volleyball at the highest level, combining exceptional physical strength with outstanding technical ability. Her dominant presence on the court, powerful serving and attacking efficiency allow her to change the course of a match at any moment. As an Olympic champion, she brings invaluable experience, a winning mentality and a competitive mindset that perfectly align with our ambitions as a club. Equally important is the enthusiasm she has shown for our project and the shared vision that brought us together. We believe this partnership will lead to significant achievements in the years ahead.”

Born in 2003, Antropova has previously played for Volley Academy Sassuolo, Green Warriors Sassuolo and Savino Del Bene Scandicci. Over the course of her career, she has established herself as one of Europe’s elite opposite hitters through her performances in both the Italian League and international competitions.

Antropova enjoyed a breakthrough period with Savino Del Bene Scandicci, winning both the CEV Challenge Cup and the CEV Cup while earning MVP honours in each competition. She further cemented her status among the sport’s elite by being named both Most Valuable Player and Best Opposite Spiker at the 2025 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship.

Antropova has achieved much success also with the Italian national team

At international level, Antropova played a key role in Italy’s gold-medal campaigns at the 2024 Volleyball Nations League, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the 2025 FIVB Women’s World Championship. Renowned for her ability to deliver in decisive moments, she has become one of the most feared attacking weapons in international Volleyball.
