Daniele Santarelli new head coach of Team Serbia

Daniele Santarelli, who is currently leading Italian national champions A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO, is the new head coach of the women’s senior national team of Serbia. The Volleyball Federation of Serbia and the Italian expert agreed to sign a deal until 2025.

I followed the team over the past years and I really admire their results and their desire to win. I will give my best for the Federation – as they have shown much trust and gave me this important opportunity.”

With Imoco, Daniele Santarelli has won the Italian national league four times (2015, 2018, 2019, and 2021), 3 Italian Cups (2017, 2020 and 2021), 4 Italian Super Cups (2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020), 1 Club World Championship (2019) and the last edition of the CEV Champions League.

From 2012 to 2017, Santarelli was an assistant coach in Pesaro (2012/2013), Urbino (2013/2014), Casalmaggiore (2014/2015) and Conegliano (2015-2017). From 2018 to 2021, Daniele Santarelli was the head coach of the Croatian women’s national team, securing two silver medals from the CEV Golden European League (2019 and 2021) in the process.

Santarelli was born on June 8, 1981, in Foligno, a town 40 km southeast of Perugia. His wife is the libero of Imoco and Team Italy, Monica De Gennaro.
