EuroVolley fever mounts in Hungary

Budapest, Hungary, August 11, 2019. It is almost impossible for Hungarian sports fans not to end up seeing the extensive promotion done before the historic CEV EuroVolley 2019 Women coming up later this month in Budapest.

EuroVolley 2019 will be a history-making moment for the Hungarian fans and the Hungarian Volleyball Federation (HVF), which never hosted a senior continental championship before. As the event approaches day by day, billboards and newspapers spread the news of the event all across the country. CEV EuroVolley 2019 Women will run from August 23 to September 1 at the iconic László Papp Budapest Sports Arena.

Hungarian Olympic boxing champion, István “Kokó” Kovács will be the TV presenter during EuroVolley at the studio of M4 sports channel. The channel broadcasts all of the Hungarian matches live during the historic event.


Olympic champion István Kovács will be following the matches of Team Hungary from the studios of M4.

Atlanta 1996 Olympic champion István Kovács will be the host of the live coverages during the history-making CEV EuroVolley 2019 Women in Hungary. Kovács, who became also world champion after seizing his Olympic gold medal, is one of the most popular presenters at M4 sports channel.

HVF Secretary General, Zsolt Ludvig hopes for a large crowd at the iconic László Papp Budapest Sports Arena. Mr Ludvig is confident about the success of the event and he shared further details as he gave an interview to MTVA two weeks before the start of EuroVolley 2019 Women.

“It looks like we will have a full-house against Romania and Croatia. The ticket sale is running great so there is a huge chance that a large crowd will turn up at the Hungarian games. Our every day is all about the event and the high interest helps a lot in our work,” Mr Ludvig said.
