Josko Milenkoski is the new head coach of Team Montenegro

The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG) has announced that renowned Macedonian Volleyball coach Josko Milenkoski will be leading their men’s national team. The OSCG Management Board unanimously chose Milenkoski – who previously coached Budvanska Rivijera BUDVA in the Balkan country and is currently working for Foinikas SYROS in the highest division of the Hellenic Volleyball league.

Milenkoski was born on September 11, 1960 in Kruševo (North Macedonia, then Yugoslavia). Throughout his career, he coached the national teams of Turkey (2017) and North Macedonia (1997-2008). Moreover, he has worked for many teams in North Macedonia and Turkey, as well as in Tunisia and in Montenegro, more specifically at Budvanska Rivijera BUDVA (2007-2008). With this team, he finished second in Montenegro’s national league and cup – as well as in the 2008 edition of the CEV Cup. With Foinikas SYROS, he claimed the Greek Super Cup title last month.

Milenkoski has received the award for best coach in his native North Macedonia as many as eight times. Back in 1999, he completed a doctor’s degree at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at the University of Skopje, where he is now a professor of Volleyball. He has published five books on Volleyball and he is a polyglot, who has a good command of several foreign languages.
