There was no pressure on this Pool B, Leg 5 fixture between the bottom two teams, which meant that both of them could take a deep breath, relax and focus on doing as good of a job as they could, and this is exactly what happened.

With approximately 3000 people behind them, Ljubljana started the match better and got 2-0 up after a solid collective effort and an unbelievable 81% reception rate. With nothing to loose, Berlin started getting back in the match slowly but surely. Step by step, and lead by a very good performance from Samuele Tuia, the Germans pushed the match into the tie-break. They clearly had the moral advantage and sealed the win in a thrilling 5 set match.

Matic Videčnik, blocker ACH Volley Ljubljana: ''Before the game probably no one believed in us, but we did. We knew that with our game we can be dangerous. Maybe it didn't look like it on the first match, but first two sets at home I think they showed our quality. Germans kept fighting and at the end managed to win. I think if we would make less mistakes in fourth set, things could maybe turn differently.''

Samuele Tuia, outside hitter Berlin Recycling Volleys:''I think they played amazing in first two sets. They started really good and we had a lot of troubles in our reception. It was a nice fight, luckily at the end we managed to push them down. To be honest, we came in Ljubljana to win 3:0 or minimum 3:1 and we were really disappointed that we started with 0:2. This win is good for our mind, but not so good for our position in group B."
