Tours Volleyball hosted Verva Warszawa this evening and with the absence of the Serbian outside spiker Cupkovic due to injury, TVB knew they had to fight a to retain chances of qualification in the next round of the Champions League.

At the very beginning of the first set, the Polish team took the lead thanks to big serves and big blocks. (2-6). However, thanks to Nathan Wounembaina’s good reception, Tours found some solutions with his two middle blocker (7-9).  Bartos was very agressive on the left side (16-13), but so was Udrys (20-17). When it mattered most, Tours had better serves and Bartos continued to spike harder (25-21). 

Tours started the second set confidently (5-2), Nowakowski crushed the ball on the floor with a pipe (6-5), but Tammemaa served stronger (9-5) and the French team forced their opponents to make errors (10-7). Tours continued to play wiser throughout and edged another set win.

For the last set, Wrona helped his team to start better (3-6), but as time went on, Tours took the advantage with a lot of big defenses and monster blocks (21-17), then came time for Wounembaina to conclude the match with a big spike (25-20).
