    Vero Volley MONZA v TOURS VB

    Vero Volley Monza enchants its fans with a fairytale performance, winning the first leg of the 2022 CEV Cup against the French team of Tours VB.

    At the Arena di Monza was a real party, with the hosts able to impose themselves with a strike 3-0 thanks to a devastating performance between attack and defense, with the batting rounds of Davyskiba (MVP of the challenge), Dzavornok and Grozer to make the difference, facilitating the team walls (13, against 1 of the guests, of which 5 personal of Beretta).

    Monza made it seem easy, but it wasn't, because Tours has always shown that they can create problems and carve out important comeback throughout the match, with the accelerations of Derouillon and Tillie in the first two games and Palonsky and Geraldo Graciano in the third.

    The Franckowiak's team anyway suffered the pressure of the Italian team, capable of putting heart and enthusiasm of the best days, embellishing its evening with the points of Davyskiba, Dzavoronok and Grozer (10, 18 and 15 each) and the defenses of a super Gaggini .

    In exactly one week in France, Monza will need to win two sets to lift the first continental trophy in its history. Tours must win 3-0 or 3-1 to go all-in in the golden set.
