History will be made in early March (1-3) when the Georgian ski resort of Bakuriani will be playing host to the very first edition of the CEV U20 Snow Volleyball European Championships! This is the first age-group competition ever organised for the youngest and ‘coolest’ version of the Volleyball game not only in Europe but across the globe as well!

Dear volleyball friends!

More and more time and energy is devoted to youth development in volleyball. This is evidenced by the fact that recently the number of ongoing tournaments in the youth category in our country has been growing significantly from year to year. Georgian sportsmen successfully competed in this sport at the international level, which helped to increase the motivation of young people.

Georgia was honored to host the U20 Snow Volleyball European Championship this year. As this will be the first time that Georgia will be able to host such an event it is a great opportunity to popularize snow volleyball in Georgia, especially as it will take part in the western part of Georgia, where volleyball is a growing sport. With this great chance, our country and our people will be a part of a great event that will help grow the volleyball family, especially in youngsters.

I would like to wish success to all participating teams. I believe that they will show their full potential and I hope that their attitude will be contagious for future generations.
