Latvia lost to their neighbours from Estonia 0-3 (19-25, 19-25, 18-25), but their sixth place is good enough to make sure they will be able to contest the second round of qualifiers scheduled for the spring of 2022.
“We will be working together a lot more, the girls will contest the Latvian youth championship with their own teams and therefore will get a lot more game experience that we really lack of right now,” added assistant coach Janis Jerumanis. “The most important thing is for the girls to gain game experience and then we will be ready for the second round of European qualifiers.”
