About

U19 European Championship - Women is a continental competition for national teams consisting of players under the age of 19 throughout the calendar year of the final round. It takes place once every two years. All 56 CEV member federations are eligible to participate in the qualification process, with the host nation(s) of the finals securing their spot(s) among the 12 finalists directly. The Junior European Championships were launched in 1966. As of the 2014 edition, the competition has been renamed to U19 European Championship. Russia and their predecessors Soviet Union and CIS won gold at all of the first 14 editions, from 1966 through 1994, and added one more title in 2016. Turkey are the most recent winners, while before them Italy claimed their seventh crown in 2018.
