About

U20 European Championship - Men is a biennial continental competition for European national teams for players who are younger than 20 years of age throughout the calendar year of the final round. All 56 CEV member federations are eligible to participate in the qualification process, with the host nation(s) of the finals securing their spot(s) among the 12 finalists directly. The competition was first introduced in 1966 bearing the name Junior European Championship until it was renamed to U20 European Championship before the 2014 edition.

Russia (and their predecessor Soviet Union) are by far the most decorated nation in the history of the competition having won 19 titles, including the most recent one in 2018.
