About

The 2022 U21 European Championship - Women is a newly launched competition which will act as a test event for the future editions planned to have qualifiers in 2023 and Finals in 2024. The format and number of teams in the qualification and the Final Round depends on the total number of registered teams, and will be defined by the European Sports Organising Commission (ESOC) once the number of registered teams is known. The latest ranking from the U20 Men and U19 Women will be taken into account to define the pool composition. A new ranking will be composed for the new Age Group after the first edition. Furthermore, the financial requirements for U21W/U22M will follow those for the U19/U20 Age Groups.
