After 12 matches were completed during the day at the Rochus Club, Ukraine’s Maryna Hladun/Tetiana Lazarenko, Spain’s Daniela Álvarez/Tania Moreno, Germany’s Svenja Müller/Cinja Tillmann and France's Clémence Vieira/Aline Chamereau are the teams still standing. The semifinals will be held on Saturday, with the medal matches taking place on Sunday.

Ukrainians and Spanish will meet in the first semifinal, scheduled for 15:00 local time, with Germans and French battling in the second, which starts at 16:15.

CEV EuroBeachVolley 2025 – Women

The first Ukrainian women’s team to get to the EuroBeachVolley semifinals, Hladun and Lazarenko won a pair of matches on Friday at the Rochus Club. They came back to beat Germans Linda Bock and Louisa Lippmann 2-1 (16-21, 21-19, 15-10) in the Round of 16 and swept (21-18, 22-20) Dutch Mila Konink and Raisa Schoon in the quarterfinals.

Set to compete in the semifinals for the third time in four EuroBeachVolley appearances, Álvarez and Moreno had a long day on Friday, winning two three-setters to keep progressing in Düsseldorf. The Spanish got the better of Polish Malgorzata Ciezkowska and Urszula Lunio in the Round of 16, triumphing 2-1 (21-16, 15-21, 15-8), and then eliminated Swiss Olympians Anouk and Zoé Vergé-Dépré in the quarterfinals, prevailing in the tie-breaker (12-21, 22-20, 17-15).

Defending champions face French Olympians

Müller and Tillmann kept their title defense alive and continue undefeated in front of their home fans. The Germans had a somewhat smooth victory in the Round of 16, handling compatriots Hanna-Marie Schieder and Karla Borger in two sets (21-15, 21-14), but were pushed to the tie-breaker by Italians Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth in the quarterfinals, fighting hard to win 2-1 (21-15, 16-21, 15-9).

Müller hits during the all-German Round of 16 battle

The fourth team to make it to the semifinals on Friday, Vieira and Chamereau had a perfect day, finding their way to the Final Four with a pair of sweeps. The Paris Olympians took Lithuanians Daniele Kvedaraite and Jekaterina Kovalskaja down in the Round of 16 with a two-set (21-18, 21-17) victory, and did the same to Latvian Olympians Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova in the quarterfinals, winning 2-0 (23-21, 21-14).

Germans and French have met three times already, including in a match at the Paris Olympics last year, and Müller and Tillmann prevailed in each of them without dropping sets.
