Team MSKH has triumphed at the end of the 2023/2024 edition of the Armenian men’s Pro League. They crowned themselves as the winners of the domestic competition following completion of the fourth and last round of matches contested this past April 5-7 at the Gazprom Armenia Educational and Sports Complex in Yerevan.

Team MSKH are the winners of the Armenian Men's Pro League

The competition had started back in April 2023, with the previous three stages held in the cities of Yerevan and Gyumri. As they approached the final stage, the teams were very close to each other in terms of their ranking points and only the side finishing the competition in fourth place – Gyumri – was already decided. Everything else was up to play for, with BKMA leading the way on 37 points, followed by FIMA and MSKH on 36 and 35, respectively.

The matches contested this past week in Yerevan were all closely fought and even the Gyumri team, featuring mainly young athletes, was able to put up a fight against their more experienced opponents. The video challenge system was used for the first time by the Volleyball Federation of Armenia, which helped refereeing in the most controversial moments. In the end, Team MSKH won all three of their matches and was declared the champion of the league. Team FIMA and BKMA had to be content with second and third place, respectively.

Three teams were still in contention for the title before the final weekend of action in Yerevan

Medals and cups were presented to the top three teams, and the best six athletes from the Pro League were awarded as well: Karen Khalatyan, Vahe Nazaryan and Artyum Sladukhin (MSKH), Andranik Mosoyan (BKMA), Karen Tigranyan (Gyumri), and Aram Melkonyan (FIMA). Special awards were also given to the management of the Gazprom Armenia Sports Complex and video challenge system specialists that had come from Iran.

The final round of the women’s Pro League 2023/2024 starts already this week in Yerevan.

With the help of specialists from Iran, the Volleyball Federation of Armenia used the video challenge system for the very first time
